On the 14 May I pulled in to a property at Woodstock/Guru to do a Five Minutes With … interview with a gentleman I met a couple of weekends ago while having a quite drink at the Woodstock club house.  As I pull into the drive way at the end of a very quiet road, I am met by two barking dogs that greet me with a little suspicion but are fine as soon as their master calls them.

The young man in my Five minutes with… today came into the World Theatre with Distance Education as part of his Australian studies.  We got to talking and ended up doing a tour of the theatre and me hearing about this country I have lived in for 25 years and call home through a completely different set of eyes.

This week’s Five Minutes With … is someone I have known for many years.  I could sit and listen to her stories and poetry for hours. She has a contagious laugh and such get up and go, it is hard to believe she is 77.   I sat with her for three hours doing this interview and if I hadn’t had to go to Townsville would probably have stayed all afternoon.  Everyone has a story to tell and here is Jean’s.  I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did listening.
