Town supports family of Anne Street fire

A Charters Towers family and friends were left devastated July 30th 2012 after a house fire in Anne Street destroyed everything they had treasured, there were no fatalaties or injuries.
Donations are being accepted on behalf of the family to the Charters Towers Neighbourhood Centre. Household items and linen are desperately needed.
Charters Towers Neighbourhood Centre would like the thank the community for their support. All day we have received donations and offers of support for the family who were affected in the house fire this morning. It shows what an amazing community we live in.
